For over a decade, the Louisville, KY-based White Reaper has been one of modern musics most undeniably satisfying rock bands, churning out album after album of big guitars and bigger hooks. Their fifth album offering, and first for Blue Grape Music, Only Slightly Empty is an infectiously entertaining record that reminds listeners how truly rewarding cranked up amps and a good chorus can be. Theres a palpable energy coursing through Only Slightly Emptys airtight half hour runtime: this is a rejuvenated White Reaper and it shows in the songs.
