The release of Streets’ first album in 12 years is marked in 2023, with the lead single “Troubled Waters.” This highly-anticipated album showcases Skinner’s signature lyrical mastery and honed beats, honed over a decade of work as a bass/rap DJ in clubs. Although written solely by Skinner, the album features vocals from longtime collaborators Kevin Mark Trail and Robert Harvey, as well as a track with Teef. The songs from the album serve as the film’s soundtrack and also act as a narrative at certain points. While each can stand alone, the album and film are intertwined and equally enjoyable.
