  Earle skillfully combines the genres roots rock, bluegrass, alternative country, blues and folk, and is considered one of the best American songwriters ever. Whereas Guitar Town (1986) and Exit 0 (1987) are more in the Alternative Country genre, Earle Copperhead Road’s most famous album (1988) is considered his first rock album.
