Originally a duo formed in the summer of 2001, Sons Of Alpha Centauri are an avant-garde post-metal group based in the Thames Gateway Swale area of London. Founding members Nick Hannon (bass) and Marlon King (guitar) conceived the instrumental project and wrote a large number of tracks together before the decision was made to expand the roster inviting Stevie B on drums and Blake to add “textures and ambience” to the group’s sound. The band has also been a rather inclusive project, working and collaborating with a handful of outsiders, including a 2005 project with Australian artist Seldon Hunt who also undertook their debut artwork.
