• The division of this Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album into two parts is explained by the respective musical orientation.
  “Abbatoir Blues” is characterized by rock, doesn’t shy away from pathos and focuses on energy and dynamics, while “Lyre Of Orpheus” is much calmer and more elegant in direct comparison. The fact that Nick Cave, despite all his great artistic stubbornness, has meanwhile been taken over by pop culture, is also proven by the fact that the album song “O Children” can be found in the soundtrack of one of the Harry Potter movies.
  The vinyl editions were sold out for a long time and were traded as rarities. In October the film “20.000 Days on Earth” starts, a documentary film about the life and work of Nick Cave.
