This Historic Series Blue Note t-shirt features a Martin Craig illustration originally used for in an advertisement for the early Blue Note Meade Lux Lewis BLP 7018 released in 1953.

Martin Craig lived on the floor below one of Blue Notes early offices on Seventh Avenue and became friends with Alfred Lion, who commissioned him to create the iconic Blue Note logo and LP labels as well as several early Blue Note album covers including Herbie NicholsThe Prophetic Herbie Nichols.
