This is a repress of Translucent Red Vinyl. Dr. Dog transitioned from a group focused mainly on creating albums to one that prioritized the vibrancy of live shows. They aimed to capture the fresh energy developed while touring. To facilitate this, producer Rob Schnapf (known for his work with Beck and Elliott Smith) was enlisted to strip down the complex arrangements from their last album, Fate, showcasing the genuine immediacy of a tight-knit five-member band refining their skills.
