Belgiums fuzz-fueled groove machine Beaten By Hippies is back and no, they didnt break up, vanish, or join a commune (well, not full-time). They just got a little sidetracked. The result? A brand new album with some new twists: Sidetracked in El Paso, landing May 23, 2025 on Polder records.

Its been a minute since their self titled debut in 2019, but theyve returned with a sound thats grown a beard, worn in the boots, and picked up a few stories along the way. Still riff-heavy, still groove-laden, but with a touch more grit and a whole lot more feeling. Call it desert rock with character.

This second album doesnt hit you over the head it invites you in, hands you a dusty beer, and plays you something that hits just right. Its heavier in all the right ways, and looser where it counts.
