Although originally intended as a live album for Verve, the recordings remained unreleased, making this edition the first issue of these performances. With Ray Brownon bass and Ed Thigpen on drums, Peterson’s year-old trio is heard in a particularly tight and responsive setting, moving through the set with the kind of precision and ease that defined this line-up.
