Hailing from Mullins, South Carolina, the gifted Sandra Phillips had been working the chitlin circuit of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, etc. since her teen years. In 1970, at the of 24, Sandra hooked up with legendary producer Jerry Williams Jr. (aka Swamp Dogg) to record a full length album that is now considered a soul masterpiece.
