If you bought a snake plant, asparagus fern, peace lily, or any other plant from Mother Earth on Melrose Avenue in Los Angelesor picked up a Simmons mattress from Searsyou likely brought home Plantasia, an album recorded just for plants. Known as warm earth music for plantsand the people that love them, its packed with charming, bucolic tunes that some might call stoner-friendly, all played on the innovative Moog synthesizer. While plants have been around since the dawn of time, they apparently loved the Moog, even though the synthesizer had only been on the scene for a few years. Most of all, the plants adored the catchy ditties created by composer Mort Garson.
