Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley met in the philosophy department at the University of Colorado and got involved in Denvers DIY music scene. They formed the label Mutually Detrimental in 2016 and self-released their albums. Their album Yours Conditionally became their most commercially successful, charting at #4 on Billboards Independent list. Their follow-up album Swimmer was recorded in their home studio with Steve Voss on drums and the singles Need Your Love and Runner were their most successful releases to date.
