This limited edition clear vinyl LP pressing celebrates the 35th anniversary of Go West’s debut album. Originally formed in 1982, Peter Cox and Richard Drummie signed with Chrysalis Records in 1984 after their demo versions of ‘We Close Our Eyes’ and ‘Call Me’ caught the label’s attention. Their debut single, ‘We Close Our Eyes’, became a top 5 hit in both the UK and US Billboard Dance charts, and its groundbreaking music video directed by Kevin Godley & Lol Crme earned critical acclaim. Following the success of their first single, Go West released more hit singles (‘Call Me’, ‘Goodbye Girl’, and ‘Don’t Look Down’) as well as a compilation of remixes and live tracks titled Bangs & Crashes. In honor of its anniversary, the album has been newly remastered from the original production tapes by the original producer, Gary Stevenson, and cut by Alchemy at AIR.
