Woods’ fourth full-length album, “Songs of Shame,” was released in 2009. It differs from their previous album, “Rear House,” by moving away from the lo-fi guerillas-in-the-mist sound. The album features both 90-second and ten-minute forays into skeletal psychedelia. The idiosyncratic songwriting style and vocalizing of Jeremy Earl is still present in abundance. Woods have toured extensively as a trio over the past year, and the songs on “Songs of Shame” have been tested on the road.
