• Grimes is the creative alter ego of Canadian Claire Boucher. Since 2010 the Montreal-based artist has been releasing her darkly shimmering tracks under this name. In the pulsating DIY scene the city where punk ethos and pop music mix and often lead to almost spiritually charged, creative collaborations, she has found the ideal breeding ground for her work and created Grimes
  With “Visions” Grimes now releases their debut for the label 4AD. The aura that surrounds Boucher is of rare radiance and is further enhanced by her working method, in which she interweaves visuals, performance, dance and music into a perfect unity. In scene circles, there’s a rumor of “Witchhouse”. On “Visions” Grimes now crosses all genre borders and combines influences and styles from TLC and New Age to Aphex Twin, Industrial and various kinds of electronic music
